To the Editor: I listened to the borough assembly meeting last night and became annoyed. The only assembly members who spoke any sense were Mr. Stephens and Mrs. Stutes. A 12-year-old boy is recovering at home after a truck hit him while he was trying to cross the street on Friday. Police and emergency responders received a report that a truck hit a boy near McDonald’s around 6:30 p.m. Friday. Fish and Wildlife Service boat sinks in Kodiak harbor
The US Fish and Wildlife Service uses the research vessel Arlluk to get close to nature. Early Friday morning, the Arlluk got a little too close to nature after it sank at its moorings in St. Herman Harbor. Groundfish catch shares could cover whole Gulf

Small quake rattles Kodiak
