Dec. 17 At 2:56 p.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a hit and run. A 2004 Ford Explorer had received moderate damage to the driver’s side quarter panel and the front bumper while the vehicle was parked unattended at the victim’s residence in Cove Trailer Park. A brown bear was caught in a snare near Lake Rose Teade on Kodiak, but state troopers used tranquilizer darts and released it, a news release from Alaska State Troopers said Thursday.
