Special Olympics games Saturday
Kodiak’s Special Olympics floor hockey and snowshoeing teams will be in action Saturday for the local winter games. Opening ceremonies for the games are at 10 a.m. in the Main Elementary gym. Two meets into his Oregon track career, Trevor Dunbar has already qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Dunbar punched his ticket to the national meet in the 5,000-meter run at the Husky Classic Friday in Seattle, Wash. Kodiak’s Chloe Ivanoff became a two-time college All-American wrestler Saturday. Ivanoff, a sophomore at Simon Frasier University, finished fifth at 116 pounds at the WCWA Nationals in Bristol, Tenn.
