Peninsula earthquake rattles Kodiak
A mild earthquake Saturday night on the Alaska Peninsula rattled dishes in Kodiak, but that was the extent of the magnitude 4.4 tremblor here. According to the US Geological Survey, the shaker was centered 60 miles beneath Fourpeaked Mountain on the peninsula, or about 70 miles northwest of Kodiak city. With no snow forecast, cleanup set to go Saturday
After snow postponed last weekend’s community cleanup, Kodiak is ready for a second try.
