Alfredo Polanco

January 1, 1955 - May 21, 2014

Alfredo was a great friend to many since arriving to Kodiak from Los Angeles, California.

Born in Santa Ana, El Salvador, he was always ready and willing to lend a hand to friends in need. He worked in various canneries throughout the years. He was a great support to his family in El Salvador. His children were the loves of his life to whom he was dedicated. He was a loving father and uncle.

He loved Kodiak, the outdoors, and spending time with his many friends.

He leaves behind his two children in Arizona, Alfredo Polanco, Jr., 17, and his daughter Yesenia Polonco, 15, sister Sonya Polanco, Luis Polanco, Jose Polanco, and his Kodiak family: Filomeno Bravo and family, Eleanor Poll Ramos, and many dear friends. His beloved mother Jumercinda Polanco preceded him in death.

A celebration of life for Alfredo will be held Thursday, June 19 at 6 p.m. at El Chicano. It will be a potluck; please bring a favorite dish to share.
