To the Editor:

Alicia Reft and her council have refused to transfer the 10 acres of land to each of the original shareholders of Karluk. There were 186 original shareholders ... who still do not have their land.

The Land that is being referred to regarding 10 acres was deeded to the Karluk IRA Tribal Council. This was land that belonged to Karluk in the first place. The merger should never have happened in the first place. The proxies were false and misleading to the people. Much of that shill happens today. The land in the old reservation belong to the people that are members of Karluk. Those who make comments have never lived in Karluk, it is just jealously. These people would take land and sell it with no regard for the people that withstand the hardship of living in Karluk. it is really sad that these people can not support the community.
