KODIAK — The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has extended several commercial salmon fishing periods in the waters around Kodiak.

There is a 105-hour extension from noon today to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Outer Ayakulik Section of the Southwest Kodiak District, the Humpy-Deadman Section of the Alitak District, and the Seven Rivers and Two-headed sections of the Eastside Kodiak District.

Commercial salmon fishing is open from noon today to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Sitkalidak, Inner Ugak and Outer Ugak sections of the Eastside Kodiak District and the Northeast Kodiak District.

Commercial salmon fishing is open from noon today to 9 p.m. Friday in the Central, North Cape, Spiridon Bay and Zachar Bay sections of the Northwest Kodiak District; the Mainland District; and the Afognak District except for the Duck Bay, Izhut Bay, Inner Kitoi and Outer Kitoi Bay sections.

Commercial salmon fishing remains scheduled to close at noon today in the Inner Ayakulik Section of the Southwest Kodiak District.
