• At 12:56 a.m., a woman on Mill Bay Road was cited for no proof of insurance.

• At 4:06 a.m., an officer investigated a fishing boat with flashing blue, red and white lights on top. The boat was secured but appeared to have a low battery.

• At 6:05 a.m., an officer found a man sleeping on a Mill Bay Road sidewalk. He left when the officer asked.

• At 8:34 a.m., a woman reported another woman standing in the middle of Hillside Drive. When questioned, the woman said she was praying to the sun. Officers suggested she not do it in the middle of the road. She moved.

• At 8:57 a.m., a man was cited for not having proof of insurance on Shelikof Street. He brought proof to the police station and charges were dismissed.

• At 9:39 a.m., a man was cited for having studded tires on Mill Bay Road.

• At 11:19 a.m., a caller reported a vehicle weaving and crossing the center line on Rezanof Drive. Officers could not find the vehicle.

• At 1:19 p.m., police forwarded charges to the district attorney’s office after a woman failed to turn herself into police as scheduled.

• At 1:20 p.m., a dog escaped from a home on Madsen Avenue while its family was away.

• At 2:22 p.m., an officer red-tagged an abandoned vehicle on Hemlock Street.

• At 2:26 p.m., a caller reported a disoriented woman on Maple Avenue and asked officers to check on her. Officers could not find her.

• At 2:43 p.m., an officer cited a vehicle for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 2:49 p.m., an officer cited a vehicle for a parking violation on Marine Way.

• At 9:51 p.m., a caller reported hearing a rifle firing on Pillar Mountain. The shooter could not be found.

• At 10:11 p.m., a caller reported a disabled vehicle on Rezanof Drive. An officer directed traffic until a tow truck arrived.

• At 12:48 a.m., an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle on Mill Bay Road. It belonged to an employee who was working late.

• At 12:57 a.m., a caller on Center Avenue reported a man asleep in an entryway. He left when police asked.

• At 3:50 a.m., an officer on Rezanof Drive West advised a man that his out of state driver’s license was revoked.

• At 9:35 a.m., an officer investigated a complaint about a construction company illegally dumping garbage at Mission Beach. All officers found were logs left over from a bonfire.

• At 9:40 a.m., an officer spoke with a group of people on Shelikof Street about the city’s open container law. One man had a beer can, but it was unopened.

• At 10:13 a.m., an officer warned a dog owner on Mill Bay Road about the city’s leash law.

• At 10:24 a.m., a woman reported a fraudulent charge on her bank card. The bank wanted the incident logged by police.

• At 5:27 p.m., someone flagged down an officer to report two intoxicated men just drove away on Mill Bay Road. Officers were unable to locate them.

• At 6:15 p.m., a woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Thorsheim Street following a car accident. There was minor damage to vehicles.

• At 7:10 p.m., a woman called to report a vehicle left in a parking lot on Mill Bay Road. An officer advised her of her options.

• At 11:20 p.m., a caller reported fireworks thrown out of a vehicle at St. Paul Harbor. An officer saw the fireworks but was unable to find the vehicle.

Friday, July 27

• At 12:16 a.m. a caller reported neighbors on Ole Johnson are having a karaoke party and being too loud; agreed to turn it down at an officer’s request.

• At 12:56 a.m. an officer flagged down by a male who asked for assistance in retrieving his belongings from a fishing vessel on Marine Way.

• At 9:05 a.m. a loose dog was impounded on Larch St.

• At 9:16 a.m. a dog owner was advised about the city’s leash law on Pillar Mountain Road.

• At 11 a.m. and 11:08 a.m., parking violations were out given on Shelikof Street.

• At 11:08 a.m. paper served at Kodiak Police Department.

• At 11:50 a.m. a parking violation was given on Shelikof Street.

• At 11:52 a.m. an officer was unable to capture a loose dog on Marine Way.
