The 12th Stuart Lutton Golf Tournament tees off this weekend at the Bear Valley Golf Course.

The annual event is a 36-hole tournament that features four divisions — men’s championship, first and second flights and a women’s division.

Organizer Skip Bolton said about 30 golfers have signed up and he is hoping to draw a larger women’s field this year.

Kriss Larsen was the only woman to compete in last year’s tournament.

Her husband Brett Larsen is the defending two-time winner of the men’s championship flight.

Fred Barber won last year’s first flight, while Jason Bang won the second flight.

The tournament is named after Stuart Lutton, a manager at Kodiak King Crab and head of Ocean Beauty Alaska before he died in 1993.

Proceeds from the tournament go to the Stuart Lutton Scholarship.

Registration goes until 8 a.m. Saturday at the Bear Valley Golf Course.

A seafood buffet ends the tournament on Sunday.
