There needs to be no legal battles over term limits if the Kodiak people are broad minded. It is too bad that we have a lot of narrow-minded people in Kodiak.

Ninety-five percent of the people who signed the petition for term limits said to us that the borough mayor and school board president must go and they were anxious to sign the petition. So what does that tell you? We only had two weeks to get the needed signatures, and you usually have 90 days. If we had 90 days, we sure would have had a lot more signatures and would have gone to the villages to let those people sign. The village people said they would have loved to sign the term limits petition. I did get one that was in Kodiak and was so happy to sign the term limit petition.

Everyone needs to vote yes on the term limit initiative on Oct. 4, 2011.

The Kodiak Island people need to have control of all matters and not only two people who want to run it all.
