Pillans sweeps first races of season

Steven Pillans was the only driver to complete a three-race sweep on the opening night of races at the Kodiak Island Raceway Friday evening.

Pillans, riding a 450cc dirt bike, captured all three races in the 250/450cc class.

Kaleb Killsnight, after finishing second in the first heat, bounced back to win the next two races, which inlcuded the five-lap main event.

Billy Juhlin won the final two races in the 125cc class, while Dakota Evans took the Youth ATV main event.

The next races are June 25 at 1 p.m.
