Leisnoi Native Corporation’s court battle against its former board of directors is over, but some of the effects of that case will linger.

On Tuesday, Anchorage superior court judge Frank Pfiffner signed an injunction forbidding former Leisnoi president Frank Pagano from Leisnoi headquarters in Anchorage. The injunction came the same day that Pfiffner formally dismissed Leisnoi’s lawsuit claiming Pagano was negligent while president.

In court documents outlining the reason for the injunction, Leisnoi stated that Pagano “has been harassing Leisnoi board members, employees and agents through a constant barrage of hostile emails.”

In sworn testimony, interim Leisnoi CEO Von Veeh stated that Pagano “often stops by the Leisnoi offices unannounced, making administrative staff uncomfortable.” That discomfort reached the point that Veeh’s assistant needed to lock the front door and sit in a back office to avoid Pagano.

On June 11, Veeh stated that Pagano and his granddaughter “attempted to unlawfully enter the Leisnoi office” with a key. The attempt was revealed on a security camera monitoring the office.

In an email to the Daily Mirror, Pagano said when he saw there was no one in the office and heard a phone ringing, he “jokingly” tried to use his new house keys to open the office door.

“I would like to make one point very clear,” he wrote in an email. “The accusations against me have been fabricated. There absolutely is no truth to them. (Leisnoi attorney Jahna) Lindemuth’s attempt to intimidate me into admitting something I did not do with her threats will never work.”

In March, Leisnoi obtained a judgment of $104,000 against Pagano to recoup legal fees accrued during the yearlong lawsuit against him.

Pagano, who represented himself in court during the lawsuit, stated in emails that Lindemuth is manipulating Leisnoi and colluding with Judge Pfiffner for financial gain.
