The Oregon senior finished 23rd with a time of 28 minutes, 52.39 seconds.

Dunbar ran a controlled race with his teammates Edward Cheserek and Parker Stinson, who both finished a second ahead of him in 21st and 22nd place.

All three were under the region automatic qualifying time of 29:19.24.

Jason Witt of Brigham Young University won in 28:36.64, while Micah Chelimo of the University of Alaska Anchorage was third in 28:37.75.

• UAA’s Dylan Anthony turned in a seventh-place finish in the 10,000 meters at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival meet Friday in California.
