The Bears won the Southcentral Conference game, 7-4, and dropped the nonconference game, 9-5.
Kodiak improved its record to 3-1 in the conference, 6-6 overall.
Sam Kirchenschlager drilled his second home run of the season in the conference game, while Jon LeVan pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win.
Tyler Jester added a double and a single, while Austin Frick hit two singles.
Kirchenschlager’s two-run blast in the third put Kodiak ahead 3-0.
After the Moose pulled to within 4-3 in the fifth, Kodiak put the game away with a three-run sixth.
Kirchenschlager led off with a single and scored on a LeVan single, who later scored on an Aaron Polasky single. Jakob Arnold plated the final run on a Palmer error.
Palmer’s Cameron Jenson was a triple away from hitting for the cycle.
In the nightcap, Jenson added another home run, drove in two and pitched a complete-game 9-5 victory, while striking out 10 and allowing only three hits.
Myles Wilson roped a double and drove in two for Kodiak, while Joe Schactler and Kirchenschlager each had singles.
Palmer scored twice in the third to take a 2-1 lead. The Moose blew the game open with seven runs over the next two innings.
Kodiak plays Wednesday and Thursday at Soldotna.
