This weekend, Kodiak students will be showing off their improvisational skills as part of the Kodiak Arts Council’s Sum’Arts program.

The performance is the culmination of “Improvise This!,” a week long acting camp for fifth through eighth grade students. The students practiced an hour and a half each day for the past week.

They learned storytelling and improvisational acting techniques through games, exercises and skits.

The upcoming show is titled “An Afternoon of Improv,” and will take place on June 7 at 1 p.m. at the Gerald C. Wilson Drama Pod at Kodiak High School. There is no cost, but the seating is limited.
