Events

Indoor Soccer is held in the North Star gym on Thursdays and Sundays from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Seth Minyard is in charge.

Evening Powerball is held in the Middle School gym Sunday-Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Powerball is for adult and high school players who have played organized ball.Open Gym Volleyball is held in the High School gym on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Jasmine Oliver is in charge



Teen Center

General Hours: Monday through Thursday noon to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

Infant/Toddler-Play Group: meets every Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. This is to provide a socialization opportunity for infants and toddlers (from 1-month to 4-year-olds) as well as enhancing their motor skills thru play time with other children. Bring your own balls and riding toys.

Private Parties: The Teen Center is also available for private celebrations in four hour blocks on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. The four hours includes set up, event and clean up. Fees are $100 per four hour block for groups up to 50 participants. Reservations for groups from 50 to 100 participants must have director approval and are twice the fee. A cleaning deposit of $100 is required and scheduling is on a first come first serve basis. All rules of the Teen Center apply.

Open Dance Studio: Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Early Riser Racquetball: Saturday mornings at the Teen Center from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30 to 8 a.m. For information, call Craig Johnson at 486-4826.

Boys and Girls Senior Dribblers

Season starts Sept. 8 with boy seventh- through ninth-grades, 6 p.m., at North Star Elementary School gym for player evaluation and team selection. Girls seventh-through ninth-grades will be evaluated on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. in the North Star gym and team selection will also be that night. Sign up at the Teen Center. $30 player fee.

Senior Dribblers Preseason Meeting: parents and coaches are invited to come to the preseason meeting to discuss the upcoming season Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Baranof Park office.
